Privacy Policy

TactiPlay is designed to require as little personal information as reasonably possible. This Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the application, website, trial, licensing, subscription, and support features.

1. Accounts, trial, and contact information

You do not need to create a TactiPlay account or provide an email address to start the in-app trial, activate a license, or use the application.

If you purchase a paid subscription, the checkout provider may collect information such as your email address, name, billing address, and other information required to process the transaction, calculate taxes, prevent fraud, and manage the subscription. TactiPlay may receive and store the customer and subscription information needed to create and deliver your license and manage access.

2. Payment and subscription information

Payments and recurring subscriptions are processed through Stripe. TactiPlay may receive information such as your email address, customer name if provided, subscription and customer identifiers, selected plan, invoice identifiers, subscription status, renewal or cancellation status, and payment status.

TactiPlay does not receive or store your full payment card number, card security code, or equivalent sensitive payment credentials. Those details are handled by Stripe and the relevant payment networks or financial institutions.

3. Technical and security information

Limited technical information may be processed to operate the trial and licensing system, verify the authenticity of the application, prevent abuse, and protect the service. This may include an installation-specific identifier or public-key hash, application version, IP address, user agent, request timing, and related security or server logs.

This information is used for licensing, fraud prevention, rate limiting, service security, troubleshooting, and operation of server-side features. It is not used by TactiPlay for advertising profiling.

4. Videos and projects

Imported videos, TactiPlay projects, telestration data, and exports are processed locally on your Mac. TactiPlay does not upload or store your source videos or projects on its servers as part of normal application use.

The only exception is when you choose to send us a file, project, screenshot, diagnostic information, or other content as part of a support request.

5. How information is used

• to provide and verify the in-app trial;
• to create, deliver, activate, and validate licenses;
• to process and manage paid subscriptions;
• to send transactional emails related to purchases and licenses;
• to operate application and server-side functionality;
• to provide support and troubleshoot problems;
• to protect the service against fraud, automated attacks, and other abuse.

6. Third-party services

TactiPlay uses third-party service providers where necessary to operate the website, licensing, security, payment, and email-delivery systems. These may include:

• Stripe for checkout, payment processing, subscription management, and related fraud or tax functions;
• Google Cloud / Firebase for hosting, server-side functions, database infrastructure, and licensing services;
• Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise for automated-abuse and fraud prevention on selected website actions;
• Resend for transactional email delivery, including license emails.

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and as necessary to provide their services.

7. Retention and security

License, subscription, payment-reference, and technical security records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain subscription and licensing history, provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal, accounting, or security requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information used by the service and its server infrastructure against unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or misuse.

8. Support requests

If you contact support, we may receive the information you voluntarily include in your message or attachments. This information is used to respond to your request, investigate the issue, and provide support.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights regarding your personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other information about how your data is handled. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions and record-retention requirements.
